HRBMP Member Spotlight:

NORFOLK -- Barbara  Hamm-Lee has been named  the chairwoman of the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority’s (NRHA) Board of Commissioners.  Hamm-Lee  has been a fixture  among the area’s media personalities for 21 years and is currently Executive Producer and host of  the weekly radio call in show, "Another View" at the local NPR affiliate WHRV-89.5.

She is also the Managing Director of WHRO’s online Workforce Development Course Program,  which is designed to help the unemployed or underemployed develop their

employment skills via the internet.  When she was elected the NRHA Board of Commissioner’s chairwoman, Hamm-Lee made history by becoming the first woman and first African-American woman to lead the policy-making  agency in its 74-year-old history.

A big congratulations to our former president from your HRBMP family.
